Behaviour Management Guidelines and Procedures

In accordance with these Gospel Values and the Vision Statement Matthew Gibney Catholic Primary School states that any form of bullying is totally unacceptable behaviour.

Dispute and Complaint Resolution Procedures

Our school supports the rights of parents/guardians, students, and staff to have their complaints taken seriously, and responded to promptly and thoroughly.

Enrolment Procedure

Catholic schools exist to further the mission of the church. In Western Australia, the Mandate of the Bishops requires the Catholic Education Commission to make Catholic School education available to all Catholic children, as far as resources allow.

School Fees Procedure

The Executive Directive – School Fees outlines the directives for school fee setting and collection, at all Catholic schools in Western Australia, in respect of children enrolled from kindergarten through to year 12. It is designed to ensure that Catholic education in Western Australia remains an accessible and affordable choice.

First Aid and Medical Emergencies Procedure

While all care is taken to ensure the safety of students, accidents do happen. Children need to be made aware of how to prevent accidents and how to administer simple first aid to themselves through the class health programme.

Uniform Procedure

The School Uniform Procedure has been developed through consultation with the school community and at the direction of the School Board. The school community has chosen the uniform, which is a sign of belonging to our community. It is the responsibility of all parents to ensure that children are attired in correct and complete school uniform at all times.

Whistleblower Policy

As Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA Ltd) is now an incorporated entity, we are required to comply with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), including protections in the Act that were expanded last year by the introduction of the Treasury Laws Amendment (Enhancing Whistleblower Protections) Act 2019 (Cth). CEWA Ltd is required to implement a whistleblower policy that complies with the legal requirements referred to above. Accordingly, the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia (CECWA) has approved the CECWA Whistleblower Policy (see link below), subject to review and any minor changes that result from that review. The Policy applies to all members of the broad CEWA Ltd community.
